Jazz music is really Oliver Johnson's real passion. An avid trumpet player sense he was 12 years old, Oliver learn from the best Jazz musicians of the times, like Tabb Smith who Jazz Group use to practice in Oliver's home, he also studied the trumpet under Harry Turner who played in the late great Count Basie Band and having been born and raised up in the same town with the legendary Miles Davis, need I say more. Oliver has sampled a wealth of musical styles ranging from Jazz, Blues, Soul and Motown. And it is often said about Oliver's music and style, that these musical experiences is always heard in Oliver's works, which lends a distinctive sound and flavorable style to Oliver Johnson music.
