Quinn Records TM: Q-NEWS & BLOGS
We, at Quinn Records TM want to introduce you,our friends and fans to a New up coming Artist his name is MC Larry Moody a.k.a The TruE MC.MC Larry Moody is probably one of most nicest guys that you'll ever want to meet. We met Larry a little over 2 years ago, he was recommended to us by a dear friend of Dwight Quinn founder of Quinn Records TM. The friend of Mr.Quinn thought that we would be able to help this talented Artist along with his career as a Producer, writer and a performer. We liked MC Larry Moody right from the beginning. And with his deep sincere, passion for the business made it that much more easier for the Company and MC Larry to bind thus we were able to get the ball rolling for him. MC Larry Moody demonstrated his love for the stage, when he perform for a sizable audience at one of St.Louis popular night Club, the people went wild for MC, the crowd took to him like metal to a magnet, we were sold on this guy. MC also did a live interview and performed on the Morning News Show, Fox 2 In The Morning here in St.Louis.MC Larry Moody was invited by Anchor Lady Randy Norton. He performed a song that he wrote the night before his guest television appearance, the song is called "I Like The Girls In Clubs," and it is on his new debut Album titled "Money Talks,"(QR121228-1) Quinn Records TM label."India The Dancing Queen"is one of our favorite songs on the Money Talks Album,MC Larry Moody said that he was inspired to write the song, when he actually met a lady that was a professional dancer and he became impress with her Dance Style so he decided to write a song about her. MC Larry, tells the story very well in the song. Most of MC's music are inspired by his love for the Party life and he express that love for Party Life in all of the songs that he writes. When MC is not writing and producing RAP Music, he's busy at putting together Jingles dealing with Sport Teams and of coarse his favorite Sport teams are the St.Louis Cardinals and the St.Louis Rams of which he have wrote some real nice Jingles and Rally tunes for both Clubs. You can expect to see MC Larry Live, him and his team is putting his 22 City Tour together that going start around February 2013,but in the mean time MC while be doing lots of one nighters, right in the LEW! MC Larry Moody said,"SHE'S HOT!,SHE'S HOT!,SHE'S INDIA THE DANCING QUEEN"-GO SLOW-Blues Crossing

James Gilbert Keep On Keeping On Debut Album
Gilbert's avid bassist and individual vocal reinterpretations are making CD worth hearing.
Dwight Quinn 2012-11-02
This album's title audible a heart-felt message calling for self-empowerment and faith in your very being. James Gilbert sets out to cover a selection from the Brook Benton collection,Rainy Night In Georgia a Brook Benton hit in the heyday of popular song, alongside a handful of new and original titles. James beam-up these tunes into a different time of R&B fusion that mid 80's and 90's period of that so-called Solid-Gold R&B sound, with the band often laying out the amplified versions of electricfying guitars,heavy-funky bass licks and powerful dramatic keyboards. And Gilbert's individualist vocal reinterpretations are well worth hearing. Long time industry songwriter and label owner Eugene Smiley Sr.added a wealth of energy to the project with original songs that fit the General R&B/Soul and Blues Public's ear.
Gilbert concentrates on the dancing-disco 1980's era of the project. Keep On Keeping On opens with awsome words of inspirations, to pick up pieces and keep your eye on the prize because their's a higher power with you. One other track feature similar interjections of dialogue, establishing an wholesome aura of radio broadcast play.James created an abundance amount of reverb, sonic tweaks, druming and harmonics that are reminisence of the back sound of groups like War.
James bass licks work in harmony with their electrified lead guitarist creating some surprising combinations. There's a mellow deep baritone vocal rendition on Brook Benton's Rainy Night In Georgia, set to a slow-smooth funk vibe. Mark Gilmore delivers some firey prominent guitars fills on Keep On Keeping On, but overall it's Gilbert who's always central, his lead vocals making powerful statements.
Gilbert might get overly moody for Eugene Smiley's Blues This Morning, but Gilbert gets you wrapped up in mood. Preparing to get his tour off and moving by January, 2013 dressing up him and his band seems to be the one thing on Gilbert mind these days. Help Me sports a stressed like dialogue written by Eugene Smiley Sr. is one of several tunes mixing hope with economic recession.
Gilbert is a mellowist, but he's coming down in a line of vocal naturalists like Barry White. He breaks up the phrasing into his own, skatting through humps and bumps on the path of mellowing sound, lands himself out in front of the beat, making the verses float with the groove.

WE CAN ALL SING TOGETHER,BUT WE CAN'T TALK TOGETHER!!
by Dwight L. Quinn
An ole saying that my father use to use on me, when he was chewing me out about something that I done that was wrong, and I would be trying to get my point across that usually winds up with his position well taken, because the point that he used that always got across to me, was his famous mine-regulator a.k.a. "the attitude-adjuster", I knew it as,"right-cross".
No I did not say,Rugged-Cross,Raymond-Cross,Roy-Cross or Rubber-Cross,
Read-me, I said "Right-Cross( p.s), With A Hand Attached To It. So,I ended
up, in agreement with my dear father, who stressed to me that"People regardless as to who they are,can all "Sing Together",and sound pretty good I suppose but "They Can't
Talk Together". To get anything accomplished someone has to Talk, while the other one Listens, now when that situation is on "Q" and the harmony is tight than they too will "sound pretty good".
And as for my Father may he Rest-In-Peace,I want to say that I love him and miss him dearly,he's my idol and I haven't forgot not one thing that he had taught me while he was alive.
And yes,I turned out pretty good, I sought Wisdom, with the RIGHT CROSS and now today, I listens while another talks and thus I gets Wiser.-GO SLOW-Blues Crossing!

This Is Exactly What My Father Was Talking About"..
