Voodoo Lady is a Single release by James Gilbert "The K.C. Rocker" on the Quinn Records TM label. The track is from Quinn Records TM's new 2014 Fall released album EndZone.Voodoo Lady written by Michael Dwayne Simington is in typical Bayou-style blues format.
The eerie sounds effects of swap critters,gr awls of hunger gators and mosquitoes buzzing are pronounced throughout the song. Lots of guitar,box,
sliding and a fiery electric guitar solo, completes this slow-moody blues feel, topped with a blend of rock added, a signature style that James Gilbert is so widely known for.
James powerful voicemanship adds range to Voodoo Lady that makes the lyrics compelling when describing a women who possess powers to make you beg,"voodoo lady, please don't put your spell on me". The song will leave very little room for dought in the mind of the listeners,that the singer has somewhat of a deep romantic feeling for the Voodoo Lady. The songs slowly builds to a closing with James issuing out
a warning to all who may not be aware, that the voodoo lady can put a spell on you and way down in Louisiana, they believe in Voodoo and a final blast of sound effects ends the song. (CD)
